Continente Plug&Charge announces new innovative features
The Continente Plug&Charge app has released new features including: happy houroffers customers the opportunity to charge their electric vehicles at a discounted rate using solar energy and fluctuations in electricity prices.
This pioneering initiative in Portugal allows users to benefit from lower prices at certain times and contributes to more efficient management of energy resources. Happy Hour is currently in a pilot phase in three of his stores: Continente Matosinhos, Continente Évora and Continente Amadora, and will soon be expanded to all stores with the Plug & Charge service.

Since the start of the project in 2020, Continente Plug&Charge has reached 294 charging points in 76 stores and has been used more than 450,000 times. The network has already prevented the release of 4,000 tons of carbon dioxide.
Investing in sustainability
The installation of the charging station is one of Mitsubishi Corporation's investments with financing from the European Investment Bank and the European Strategic Investment Fund. Continente Plug&Charge contributes to the company's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and improve consumption efficiency and environmental sustainability.
Mitsubishi Corporation's investment in energy efficiency is a priority and goes beyond investing in this particular project, such as opening new stores with the highest energy efficiency standards.
