Three people arrested on suspicion of assaulting elderly couple
PSP arrested three people, two men and a woman, in Matosinhos on suspicion of robbing an elderly couple that Tisiana Xavier had reported.
An 82-year-old man was attacked during the robbery and was taken to Matosinhos Hospital.
The suspects, a couple aged 38 and 33 and another 21-year-old man from Maia and Matosinhos, were arrested on Wednesday as they left the scene of the crime in a dark BMW. A one-and-a-half-year-old infant was also in the car driven by the woman, who was handed over to her family.
PSP seized the vehicle, cash, jewelry, watches, mobile phones, and tools used in the crime.
The detainees will appear before judicial authorities this Thursday for the application of coercive measures.
